A Kanawha County man has his bond reduction request denied

Chase Nelson of Charleston is accused of shooting at his neighbor and then at deputies on June 7 at a home on McCubbin Drive, near Coonskin Drive. Sheriff’s deputies took cover behind a building and heard Nelson say a phrase at which point he shot twice toward the deputies, according to the criminal complaint. There were no injuries. Nelson was taken into custody with the help of a SWAT Team. A judge denied a bond reduction request, and Nelson continues to be held at South Central Regional Jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
