A Kanawha County man pleaded guilty Monday in an infant’s 2023 overdose. 24-year old Willis Sarvis of Cross Lanes pleaded guilty to felony child neglect causing serious bodily injury. Sarvis was charged after an infant in his care overdosed on fentanyl in a Charleston hotel room in May 2023. Sarvis told investigators at the time that he had a bag of fentanyl inside a drawer within reach of the child. A sentencing hearing in the case is scheduled for August.
