A Roane County woman is accused of embezzling about $30,000 while working in various roles with the county’s EMS. Erica Bryan of Spencer is charged with embezzlement and computer fraud, according to a criminal complaint filed in Roane County Magistrate Court. Bryan, who worked in multiple positions with Roane County EMS, is accused of “double-dipping” by clocking in as an EMS driver while also performing officer manager duties and vice-versa. Investigators said Bryan often submitted 100 hours of time worked, including 20 hours of overtime, every two weeks while employed in 2023. Bryan was terminated from Roane County EMS in December 2023.
