Disaster Recovery Center opens in Nicholas County

A Disaster Recovery Center opened Monday at the Nicholas County Office of Emergency Management to help residents who were affected by the storms that ripped through the state in early April. The center in Summersville can help residents seeking aid with by disaster assistance applications, uploading documents or if they have questions for FEMA officials. The center will also have experts from the U.S. Small Business Administration to help business owners impacted. Residents of Boone, Cabell, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, Marshall, Nicholas, Ohio, Putnam, Wayne and Wetzel can also apply for assistance with additional centers open throughout the state.
