Father is charged after infant is exposed to drugs

A man from St. Albans is in jail after deputies said his five-month-old baby was found unresponsive and with methamphetamine in his system. Deputies said they responded to CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital after they received a call that the baby had been brought in with a 105 temperature and tested positive for meth. The father, David Mallo was arrested, and the baby was flown to another hospital and is still being treated for his injuries. Mallo is charged with child neglect resulting in injury. He is being held in the South Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
