Cabell County education officials met this week to discuss the future of the school system’s leadership, unanimously voting to accept the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Ryan Saxe. The board also settled on Mason County School Superintendent Tim Hardesty to take over as the leader of Cabell County Schools.
Hardesty has served as a deputy superintendent and assistant superintendent in Cabell County. Saxe’s resignation will be effective at the end of this month and Hardesty will assume a four-year term starting July 1. Saxe is moving on to become the leader of Berkeley County Schools for the next three years.
