It’s still unclear what’s next after Tyler Mountain Volunteer Firefighters walk out

Emotions were burning hot at a board meeting this week with Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. It comes after at least seven firefighters walked away. The firefighters apologized to the community in their letter and said they had no other choice. Members of the community are calling on the entire board to resign for allegedly misappropriating funds and failing to gain its trust. Some residents said they plan to contact the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office and state fire marshal.
