The city of Pikeville has become Kentucky’s 29th Trail Town. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and state tourism leaders announced the certification this week, and said the state’s trail town communities play a pivotal role in driving tourism. The program is designed to provide a strategic plan for communities to capitalize on recreation opportunities. Pikeville has been focused on expanding and enhancing its trail systems.
