The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 64-year old man from Pinch is dead following a shooting late Friday night. According to deputies, they received a call around 11:38 p.m at the TC Energy job site along Stella Drive in Pinch. They say a suspect had pulled up behind some stopped oil company trucks along Upper Pinch Road – the suspect then got out of his truck and got into an altercation with people at the scene – including a security guard at the TC Energy site.The situation escalated and the suspect pulled out a gun – but was shot by the security guard. The security guard was not injured and is cooperating with officers. They say it is too soon to know if any charges will be filed.
