WVA budget surplus is $701.1 million

With a month still remaining in the current fiscal year, the West Virginia’s budget surplus is now over $700 million, said Gov. Jim Justice on Monday. This Includes a $63.7 million surplus for May, making the year-to-date surplus is $701.1 million, according to reports for the month from the West Virginia State Budget Office. While in Beckley during a recent bill signing ceremony, Justice announced the state’s latest financial data. Said Justice, “Think about all the great stuff we’ve done with our state parks, all the renovations that are happening all across the state. And it just goes on and on and on.”
