A Putnam County woman was indicted by a grand jury Friday in the death of her child following a 2022 house fire. Megan L. Kincaid is charged with child neglect resulting in death and child neglect creating a risk of injury following a 2022 house fire that killed her 2-year-old son, according to an indictment filed in Putnam County Circuit Court. Investigators at the time said they were immediately treating the case as more than just a house fire due to allegations surrounding the home.
