DOH worker is seriously hurt in a work zone accident

A West Virginia Division of Highways employee and a driver were seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 79 on Wednesday. The crash was reported about 8:30 a.m. near the Stonewood and Nutter Fort exit in the Harrison County area, according to a news release from WVDOH. A pickup truck was heading north when it collided with a WVDOH mower. Both were seriously injured in the incident and flown to a nearby hospital. The driver of a third vehicle was also injured. They’re continuing to ask drivers to use extra caution when driving through work zones or near road workers.
