A bond reduction request was denied Tuesday by a Cabell County judge. Former gymnastics coach Lance Spencer is facing multiple counts of sexual abuse by a custodian and multiple counts of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust to a child. Attorneys had asked for a reduction in bond or home confinement, but Cabell County Circuit Court Judge Paul Farrell denied the request. Spencer was indicted in May for incidents that happened at Bozhi’s Gym Nest, where Spencer worked as a gymnastics coach. He’ll be back in court on August 27.
