Man who failed to make good on monument sales has been reprimanded

A Kanawha County monument seller has been banned from operating memorial businesses in West Virginia and ordered to pay restitution and civil penalties after defrauding customers. Glenn A. Naylor II failed to provide services to paying customers while operating a monument sales business based in Clendenin, according to a news release from the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office.
Complaints from customers prompted an investigation by the state after Naylor avoided contact with customers looking for updates on their monuments. A lawsuit against Naylor resulted in an order for payment of more than $78,000 in restitution and $125,000 in civil penalties, totaling $5,000 per victim.
