An opening date has been announced for the Starbucks at South Charleston’s Park Place. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, at 4 p.m. for the new Starbucks, according to a news release. The store will open to the public the following day, Friday, July 12. The opening marks the second official tenant to open in the Park Place development. The Starbucks location was confirmed in April 2023. Chick-fil-A was the first tenant to open at the shopping center. South Charleston Mayor Frank Mullens previously told Eyewitness News that he expects 20-26 tenants to fill the shopping area once it’s fully developed.
