The Putnam County Fair is underway and attendees are contending with high temperatures. Fair board members always expect heat in July and have implemented measures to keep visitors cool. Misters and fans have been placed inside entertainment and livestock areas and a mobile medical unit with air conditioning remains on site. Event organizers do not expect the heat to affect attendance, according to Eyewitness News. Putnam County EMS are at the ready for any heat-related emergencies. The fair runs through Saturday.
