The Dunbar Police Chief announced his resignation Sunday, according to a post from the Dunbar Police Department. Police Chief Brian Oxley took over in 2021 after previously rising through the ranks, earning the rank of Chief, at the Nitro Police Department before stepping down in 2015. While Oxley said he is stepping down at the police department, he said in the post that he does not plan on leaving Dunbar, continuing to offer support for the community and the police department.
