A man accused of hitting two women, including one with brass knuckles, pleaded guilty Monday. 30-year old Roger Lee Stevens pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding in a Dec. 9, 2023, incident in the Clendenin area, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Prosecutor’s Office. A woman told investigators Stevens struck her with a closed fist during an argument and then grabbed her by the throat, the news release said. Prosecutors said Stevens then struck another woman with brass knuckles when she attempted to stop him. Stevens is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 10 and faces one to five years in prison.
