Multiple hydrants in Milton were flushed Monday in an effort to clear lines following reports of discolored water. A letter from the Milton Water Office said customers that experience discolored water after the flushing process are asked to open an outside spigot or run cold water until it clears from the line. Afterwards, hot water may then be used to remove remaining sediment. The utility office should be contacted by calling 304-743-3422 if lines are being cleared to request a discolored water adjustment. Affected customers are asked to note the date and time that lines are cleared when making the call.
