State officials gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at the West Virginia State Capitol Complex Wednesday as construction began on a new outdoor exhibit showcasing the Mountain State’s natural resources. The “West Virginia: Nature Designs a State that Fuels a Nation” exhibit will serve as an extension of the West Virginia State Museum and highlight industries including Agriculture, Chemicals, Clay, Coal, Glass, Engery, Railroads, Water and more. State officials said artifacts on display will include a coal shuttle car, an oil and gas engine, faming plows, and a riverboat wheel.
