A labor union representing employees of the Greenbrier Hotel said a deadline to fix delinquencies in health care contributions has been extended following a canceled auction to sell the resort. The Amalgamated National Health Fund said it will continue providing health care benefits to Greenbrier employees represented by the Greenbrier Council of Labor Unions through Aug. 31, a four-day extension, according to a news release from the labor union. The union previously alleged that the Greenbrier has not remitted employee contributions to the fund that have been deducted from worker paychecks. The extension comes following the cancellation of a public auction planned for the Greenbrier after the Justice family announced an agreement with Beltway Capital, which had declared its loan defaulted.
