Regatta has record turn out

Nearly a quarter of a million people attended the 2024 Charleston Sternwheel Regatta, generating $38.8 million, city officials said. The Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Wednesday that the annual festival attracted an estimated 235,000 attendees, according to a news release. The city also announced that the 2025 event will be held July 3-6. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin said in the news release “”The annual Charleston Sternwheel Regatta has become a focal point for tourism and economic development’.
