An app is helping 911 dispatchers and first responders in Cabell County more accurately pinpoint locations when responding to calls especially in remote or rural areas. Ted Grant, the training and public education coordinator with Cabell 911, told Eyewitness News that they started using the What Three Words app within the past year. He said it gives even the most remote locations its own code. Dispatchers could use the three word code to send out to first responders instead of trying to describe the relative location. It’s especially useful with ATV crashes.
