Del. Daniel Linville, R-Cabell, who represents Milton and was in attendance at Tuesday night’s Water Board meeting, said he understands the frustration of the people of Milton. “You’ve got folks who have seen some yellow-colored water and that’s not acceptable obviously,” Linville said. People in Milton have been experiencing this for the better part of a decade with the water consistently changing from normal, to yellow, to brown. City officials said old pipes and aging infrastructure are to blame and outside funding is needed for upgrades. Just last year, Milton council rejected a West Virginia American Water takeover after years of complaints about the discolored water. Linville said he will work with the organizations who can provide the funding Milton needs to replace the water system.
