No more lane closures expected as work wraps up on I-64

Crews are nearing completion on road work on Interstate 64 in Kanawha County that slowed traffic at times in recent weeks. There are no planned lane closures moving forward on I-64 near the Montrose Drive exit as crews wrap up a bridge rehabilitation project, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Lanes on the bridge had been closed periodically the last two weeks causing traffic to back up at times. The agency said crews will be touching up on the protective concrete coating in the coming days, but no further closures are expected.
