Trial date is pushed back for two accused of holding two teens in a Sissonville barn

A couple accused of human trafficking after children were found allegedly locked in a Sissonville barn were back in court Monday. Donald Ray Lantz and Jeanne Kay Whitefeather were in court where their trial, which was scheduled to begin Monday, was pushed to Nov. 12. The pair have pleaded not guilty in the 2023 case. Deputies said they found a 14 and 16-year-old locked in an outbuilding equipped with only a small RV porta-potty but no running water. Whitefeather and Lantz are each currently being held on $500,000 bonds after they were raised in June.
