West VA inmate charge with assaults on four correctional officers

A West Virginia inmate accused of assaulting multiple correctional officers was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday. Federal prosecutors said Mark Randall Harken, 42, was indicted on four counts of assault of a correctional officer resulting in bodily injury, that according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia. Harken is accused of injuring four correctional officers during an altercation at Federal Correctional Institution Gilmer. Prosecutors said Harken faces up to 20 years in prison for each count.
