Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out at a home in Charleston Sunday evening.
Reports of the fire came in at 7:30 p.m. at the 1100 block of Early Street. According to a fire chief on scene, initial 911 calls reported several people fleeing the house as the fire started. Upon arrival, firefighters saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the basement. According to dispatchers, no one was injured the inferno and Charleston Fire Department are currently investigating the cause.
