Family sets up a GoFundMe for teen battling cancer

Myron Cook began his battle with cancer in July with leg pains, making him unable to walk in his high school graduation. Shortly, after, the 18-year-old had to get his left leg amputated as he goes through six months of chemo treatments. Cook’s family created a GoFundMe for his home renovations to make it handicap accessible said they were quoted for a cost of over $300,000 to make that happen. Eyewitness News said the modifications include widening doorways, building a ramp outside, replacing their gravel driveway and redoing their bathroom. So far, the family has raised nearly $15,000 for the renovations but the family hopes to raise $20,000 to help with costs.
