Federal funding will bring improvements to Yeager Airport

A federal grant totaling $8 million will be used to modernize West Virginia International Yeager Airport in Charleston. The funding will be provided by the Federal Aviation Administration through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and go toward expanding amenities, streamlining security and creating ADA-compliant facilities, according to a news release from the airport. Iinfrastructure upgrades will include paving projects, the realignment of taxiways and modernizing CRW’s terminal, according to Eyewitness News. Airport officials estimate the entire project will cost between $60 and $77 million.
