Hal Greer construction in Huntington could cause delays this week

A Huntington thoroughfare under construction will experience rolling closures starting today. A shift in traffic along Hal Greer Boulevard at the intersection of Third Avenue is scheduled to begin the evening of Oct. 7, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Paving crews will work from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., establishing closures one block at a time through Friday, Oct. 11. Construction efforts are scheduled to progress from Third Avenue to Seventh Avenue and Washington Boulevard as part of the Hal Greer Boulevard Renovation Project. Paving will be done at night to minimize impact.
