Four members of the Huntington Fire Department were promoted in a ceremony this week. Christopher Blanton was promoted from captain to deputy chief. Alan Roby, Phillip Bowen and Timothy Burns were promoted from lieutenant to captain.
Several firefighters have recently retired which caused these positions to open up.
All of the promotions were earned based on testing and seniority.
