Investigation continues into misconduct a Cross Lnaes Child Care and Learning Center

A Charleston attorney is representing eight families of children who were allegedly abused at a Cross Lanes daycare that is currently under state investigation. The eight children were in a class at Cross Lanes Child Care and Learning Center led by Amber Seiler of Kenova, who has been charged in the investigation. Attorney Michael Cary said two of the children he is representing have special needs. Seiler has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery in addition to a felony count of battery and assault of a disabled child in the investigation. Cary said the first of what he expects to be many lawsuits was filed Monday on behalf of a 4-year-old who was allegedly abused at the daycare.
