A man who was accused of going on a stabbing spree in Kanawha County in 2023 was found dead in his jail cell Wednesday, officials said.Percy Woody, 38, was found unresponsive Wednesday evening by staff performing routine checks at South Central Regional Jail, according to a statement from a West Virginia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesperson. Staff members immediately attempted life-saving assistance. No further information on Woody’s death was released due to an investigation by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Criminal Investigation Division and the West Virginia State Police, the statement said.
