Mother and grandparents of Kyneddi Miller will be tried together

Three family members recently indicted on murder and other charges for the apparent starvation death of a teenage girl in Boone County pleaded not guilty to all charges during an arraignment hearing Friday. Julie Miller, the girl’s mother, along with Donna and Jerry Stone, the girl’s grandparents, were indicted last month stemming from the death of 14-year old Kyneddi Miller, whose body was found at a home in Morrisvale in April.

Eyewitness News said Miller’s attorney, Ronald Walters, Jr., filed a motion to move the trial out of Boone County due to pretrial publicity. Arguments about that motion were not heard during Friday’s hearing. The Stones were allowed to remain free on bond pending the trial, while Miller is still being held in jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond. A pretrial hearing has been set for Nov. 22 in the case, which right now, will be tried together. The judge set the trial for Dec. 10.
