The highly anticipated debut of West Virginia’s new alternate black uniforms has a date. West Virginia will wear the new uniforms during an 8 p.m. showdown with Iowa State on Saturday, Oct. 12, according to a news release from the university’s athletics department. The game will be televised on FOX. The matchup in Morgantown has been dubbed the Coal Rush game where fans attending are encouraged to wear black. The uniforms pay homage to the state’s coal tradition and honors Mountain State miners. The Mountaineers face Oklahoma State on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m.
