New technology could speed up check-ins at Yeager Airport

The West Virginia International Yeager Airport unveiled a new technology this week that validates identification and confirms flight information for travelers in real time. The TSA will use the authentication technology to improve screening by comparing an ID to a real-time photo. A confirmed match moves travelers through checkpoints without exchanging a boarding pass, according to the TSA. The technology is also being implemented at the Huntington Tri-State Airport.
