Ohio school stabbing suspect waives a court date in Huntington

This week, Joshua Collins of Huntington waived his extradition hearing, which clears the way for him to be returned to Lawrence County, Ohio, where he faces a list of charges related to the stabbing of an elementary school principal. Collins is facing a felony assault charge in the stabbing of South Point Elementary School Principal Bill Christian. Police said Collins was upset over a child custody issue and pulled out a knife and stabbed the principal while the two were talking in the hallway and kept pursuing him. Principal Christian was hospitalized and is stable. Collins is back in Ohio to face the charges.
