West Virginia miners group helps rebuild a road in storm-ravaged North Carolina

The governor of West Virginia applauded miners from the Mountain State who he said are helping rebuild in western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene. Gov. Jim Justice shared a photo Sunday of nine men who are being credited with helping rebuild a road from Bat Cave to Chimney Rock, North Carolina. The group gained popularity on social media after videos were shared showing them help rebuild the road. Western North Carolina was devastated by flooding following Hurricane Helene and has spent weeks rebuilding infrastructure and restoring service to the region.
