Samuel McCoy pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a deadly DUI crash that occurred in Huntington In October of last year. McCoy pleaded guilty to driving under the influence causing death and fleeing in a vehicle causing death, according to the Cabell County Clerk’s Office. McCoy refused a traffic stop, ran a red light and struck a vehicle. A 16-year-old passenger died and three others were injured.
Investigators said a search of McCoy’s vehicle revealed “several types of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.” Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 16.
