Lifelong resident Shane Evans will take the mayoral seat in Milton in January and he said he’s ready to make some changes. “We’re all a town, we’re a small community, we’re all like family here and we all work.” Evans said. “We need to work together to get things done, to make it a better place to live for all of us.” One of the key issues that Evans is looking to address is the town’s decade-long water issue. “They need to continue replacing old lines. That’s what they have been doing before me, but we need to tackle what lines need replaced first,” he said. “We can all work together and get this thing done.” There are also five newly elected council members ready to make a difference in the town.
