5000 AEP affected by rain and high winds

More than 5,000 people are without power in West Virginia area after heavy rain and winds swept through the region. The counties most affected are in Wayne County with 3,130, Cabell County with 2,711 and Kanawha County with 2,533, according to Appalachian Power’s outage map. As of last night AEP was still assessing the conditions and had not listed any restoration times.
