Amanda Leann Dempsey, 32, of Delbarton has been charged with assaulting and obstructing an officer, domestic assault, destruction of property, making threats of terroristic acts and violating an emergency protection order, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mingo County Magistrate Court. The complaint said deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident along Cornsilk Drive Tuesday where Dempsey was accused of “running around the residence with a knife stating she was going to kill everyone and burn the house down.” Court records said Dempsey is accused of threatening the lives of responding officers and “throwing…officers off a hill.” Dempsey has been taken to Southwestern Regional Jail and bail has been set at $11,000.
