Huntington’s 31st Street Bridge is back to full capacity

The 31st Street Bridge connecting Huntington to Proctorville, Ohio, is reopening following inspections and repairs. One lane of the bridge was closed on Nov. 4 to allow contractors to conduct in-depth inspections on the bridge and the cables that hold it up, according to a news release from the West Virginia Division of Highways. The DOH has also lifted a 20-ton weight restriction that has been in place since 2018 and will allow the bridge to return to full capacity.
