City officials in Charleston shared updates on parking and trash collection as the area continues to deal with the impacts of one winter storm and prepare for another. Trash and recycling collection will be on schedule today, the city said in a social media post. Those who regularly have their trash picked up on Tuesday will have it collected Saturday, Jan. 11. Meanwhile, parking in all city garages and city street metered spaces will be free through Sunday, Jan. 12. Rooftop parking in those garages will be closed, however, due to icy conditions.
