Patrick Morrisey was sworn in Monday as West Virginia 37th governor during a day of ceremonies at the state capitol. The new governor said he understands the dignity that comes from hard work. Morrisey touched on some of his plans during his inaugural address, vowing to make advanced manufacturing, technology and the state’s energy resources a big part of its future. Part his plan for economic revival includes simplifying the state tax code and lowering taxes to be the lowest among all bordering states. Morrisey said he will work to make West Virginia business-friendly.
