Charleston native Harper Gardner was recently appointed to fill Council Member Samuel Minardi’s Ward 15 City Council seat. Gardner was nominated and approved to serve immediately. Gardner was born and raised in Charleston, attended Charleston Catholic High School and later received a B.S. in Physics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Gardner, who worked for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and the West Virginia Department of Transportation currently serves as the Director of Sales for English Meadows Assisted Living. Gardner lives in Charleston’s South Hills with his wife, Jessica, their two sons.
