Two people died early Monday morning following a utility terrain vehicle crash in Wood County. A crash in the 1500 block of Sams Creek Road near Paddle Run was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. A male driver and female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said a third person also involved in the crash was able to go to a nearby home to ask for help. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, according to deputies.
