West Virgina joins suit against a New York law

West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey joined a multi-state lawsuit against New York’s Climate Superfund Act. The law punishes fossil fuel companies for greenhouse gas emissions that could bring up to $75 billion in fines against energy producers.The emissions in question happened between 2000 and 2018. The Attorneys General who filed suit believe the law is unconstitutional and could be detrimental to the energy industry.
