An ongoing child pornography investigation that has already led to two arrests has now led to the arrest of one of the suspect’s girlfriends. Vanessa Beauvais of South Charleston has been charged in the case, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. Beauvais’s boyfriend, Christopher Rush, was taken into custody last month. Investigators learned that Beauvais babysits children at her home and the children that a trooper observed through an app on Lewis’ phone are children she watched through her Connect home daycare service. Eyewitness News reported Beauvais was licensed for up to six children at her home at 4401 Jones Street in South Charleston. She’s being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond at the South Central Regional Jail, awaiting a preliminary hearing in Kanawha County Magistrate Court on March 28.
